Indexing & Abstracting
Overview
We work to maximize the discoverability of published content through indexing and abstracting services, persistent identifiers, and interoperable metadata.
Coverage varies by journal. This page summarizes our approach and how authors and readers can verify indexing.
Indexers & Coverage
Journals pursue inclusion in relevant databases appropriate to their scope. Typical targets include:
- Google Scholar Discoverability through full-text crawling and metadata.
- Crossref DOIs and citation linking for all published articles.
- Directory services Inclusion in discipline-specific directories and catalogs where applicable.
- Subject repositories Community repositories (where journal scope aligns).
Each journal page lists specific indexers once confirmed. If an indexer is not listed, it may be under evaluation or pending.
Metadata & Identifiers
- Articles receive DOIs for persistent linking and citation tracking.
- Machine-readable metadata includes titles, authors, affiliations, abstracts, references, and license information.
- Reference lists are deposited to enable citation-level services when applicable.
Archiving & Preservation
- Content is archived to ensure long-term preservation and continuity of access.
- Articles carry permanent identifiers (e.g., DOIs) to support stable citations and links.
How to Cite
Include author names, year, article title, journal title, volume(issue), page or article number, and DOI. Example:
Surname, A. A., Surname, B. B. (Year). Article title. Journal Title, Volume(Issue), e12345. https://doi.org/xx.xxxx/xxxxxx
Journal-level Notes
- Indexing status is listed on each journal's homepage when confirmed by the indexer.
- Some databases apply selective coverage; not all content may appear immediately.
Transparency Statement
We do not claim inclusion in any index before official confirmation. If you find inaccurate indexing claims, please notify the editorial office for correction.
