Templates are optional. Submissions that follow the guidelines below are welcome even without a template.

Formatting guidelines

  • Use clear section headings and consistent numbering where applicable.
  • Line spacing 1.15 to 1.5, readable font, and adequate margins.
  • Include a concise abstract and 3 to 6 keywords.
  • Number figures and tables in the order cited in the text.
  • Provide references in a consistent style (see below).

Submission checklist

  • Title page with author names, affiliations, and corresponding author email.
  • Abstract and keywords included.
  • All figures and tables are cited and provided as separate files where possible.
  • Permissions obtained for any third party content.
  • Conflicts of interest and funding statements provided.
  • Data availability statement included, if applicable.

Figures and tables

  • Preferred figure formats: PNG, JPG, or TIFF. Minimum width 1200 px.
  • Provide vector formats (SVG, PDF, EPS) for line art when available.
  • Include clear, self contained captions. Define all symbols and abbreviations.
  • Tables should be editable text, not images. Use concise column headers.

Supplementary files

  • Upload data sets, code, or additional figures as separate files.
  • Provide a brief description of each file and how it relates to the text.
  • Ensure file names are descriptive and include version or date if relevant.

References

Any consistent, complete reference style is acceptable at initial submission. Include authors, title, journal or publisher, year, volume, pages, and DOI where available.
