Publishing Policies
Comprehensive policies for authors, editors, and reviewers covering submissions, ethics, transparency, and publication practices across Open Access Pub journals on ManuscriptZone.
Scope & Governance
These policies apply to all Open Access Pub journals hosted on ManuscriptZone. Editorial decisions are made independently by editors within the journal scope and in line with ethical standards.
We align with COPE guidance and support transparency, integrity, and reproducibility.
Submission & Editorial Independence
- Submissions must adhere to journal-specific author guidelines and formatting.
- Editors have full editorial independence; commercial considerations do not influence decisions.
- Plagiarism screening and ethics checks are performed during initial assessment.
Peer Review
- Default model: single-blind peer review unless stated otherwise by a specific journal.
- Typically, two independent expert reviews are conducted; additional reviews may be requested when needed.
- See: Peer-Review Policy and Reviewer Guidelines.
Publication Ethics
- We follow COPE-aligned practices to prevent and address misconduct.
- See: Publication Ethics & Malpractice and Reviewer Ethics.
Open Access & Licensing
- Articles are published open access under a Creative Commons license specified by the journal (e.g., CC BY).
- Licenses permit sharing and reuse, provided that attribution is given and use is within the license terms.
Copyright & Reuse
- Authors typically retain copyright; the publisher holds a license to publish and distribute.
- Third-party materials must include permissions or fall under fair use/fair dealing where applicable.
Preprints & Prior Publication
- Preprint posting is permitted; disclose preprint DOIs during submission.
- Conference abstracts and theses are usually acceptable with proper citation and permissions.
Data & Materials Policy
- Include a data availability statement; deposit data and code in recognized repositories when feasible.
- Materials, reagents, and software should be shared upon reasonable request, consistent with ethical and legal constraints.
Corrections & Retractions
- Corrections address errors that do not invalidate findings.
- Retractions are issued when findings are unreliable, unethical, or published in error.
- Expressions of Concern may be issued while investigations are ongoing.
